Glasgow-born Aitken’s is the leading supplier of products to the Sportsturf and Landscaping Industry across the UK. A family run business spanning 3 generations, Richard Aitken (Seedsmen) was formed in 1963 whilst Aitken’s Sportsturf was formed in 1989 in Yorkshire. Since then the company has made several acquisitions in the field and now has over 919 grass and soil-related products in its portfolio and services the UK’s key sports stadiums and clubs ensuring that pitches are kept in optimum condition.

Bucking the current economic trend and following its recent business success in 2008, the company has made a significant investment in new premises for the Glasgow depot to help meet increasing customer demand and improve service efficiency.

Reflecting its position as a premier player in this industry, Aitken’s has appointed Craig Mackinlay of Breeze Creative to design its new 84pp product and service catalogue which will go out to current and potential customers during 2009.
